Certificate Authority

Certificates are issued by a certifying authority (CA), which can be any trusted central administrator willing to vouch for the identities of those to whom it issues certificates and their association with a given key.

Certificate authorities publish a "root certificate", also known as a certificate authority certificate (CA certificate). This is how a certificate authority publishes its public key. In order to use Vertifi's secure web site, a representative must establish trust of the server by installing Vertifi's CA Certificate.

Installing the Vertifi CA Certificate will establish that you trust certificates issued by Vertifi.
